Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in residential or commercial spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and guests. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Duties

• Perform custodial tasks including cleaning, dusting, and sanitizing various areas within the premises.
• Launder linens, towels, and other fabrics as needed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Cook simple meals or prepare snacks for residents or guests when required.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
• Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Execute commercial cleaning tasks in business environments while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in residential settings, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred.
• Strong cleaning skills with knowledge of proper sanitation techniques.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is an advantage.
• Experience in commercial cleaning settings is beneficial but not required.
• Attention to detail with the ability to notice areas that require additional care.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Duties Include: 

• General shift management/oversight 
• Run Floor Shifts of Restaurant/Bar
• Open/Close the restaurant
• Pre-shift briefings with the bar team 
• Mid-service floor checks and real-time communication to servers on upsell opportunities
• Ambiance oversight — lighting, music, temperature, and cleanliness for a consistently excellent environment
• Glassware and bar inventory management and controls
• Weekly bar inventory oversight and variance reporting
• Quality control across all bar output — spec, presentation, consistency
• Bar tip data input and system oversight for the team
• Maintain all staff alcohol licenses and the compliance binder

• Bar scheduling — built weekly within approved labor hours
• Bar staff hiring and hiring oversight, including performance audits
• Personnel management — 1:1s, coaching, performance conversations
• Assist in beverage ordering and order receiving with the Beverage Director
• Vendor and supplier relations and meetings with the Beverage Director
• Special order items — sourcing, quoting, and securing best pricing for specialty goods
• Assist menu curation alongside the Beverage Director
• VIP guest bar experience — personalized moments, service, guest recognition
• Monthly bar team meetings with staff and leadership

• Oversee and implement the bar training program — onboarding new hires and running continued education for existing staff
• Develop and maintain all training documents: allergen guides, menu descriptions, pronunciations, and service standards
• Test and grade bar staff on product knowledge and service execution
• Update training materials with every new menu, seasonal program, or policy change
• Train staff on guest engagement: recommended pairings, beverage selections, specials, upselling language, and how to handle VIP moments
• Assist in planning and executing the broader bar training program in partnership with the Beverage Director
• Oversee anniversary recognition and raise schedules for bar team members

Position Summary:

What you will do:

• Ensure Restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing/sanitizing/disinfecting kitchen utensils and high touch-point areas, and servicing restrooms.
• Handle guests concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to Restaurant Policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while maintaining presentation standards
• Assist servers with table maintenance, water service, clearing plates, and resetting tables
• Ensure all dishes are delivered to the correct guests and described appropriately when needed
• Support smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, and expo lines
• Assist with polishing silverware, glassware, and preparing service supplies
• Anticipate member and guest needs to provide attentive and seamless service
• Support event service, banquets, and private dining functions as needed
• Uphold Citizen House service standards and hospitality expectations at all times

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, club, or hotel experience preferred
